Workshop 2: Enameling for expression
The Australian National University, School of Art, Gold and Silversmithing Workshop is hosting two workshops in March taught by visiting artists Puan Jiewthong and Taweesak Molsawat. These are open to the public and provide a wonderful opportunity to participate in a unique creative and cultural experience in the ANU’s world-class facilities.

Workshop 1: Filigree incorporating traditional Khmer techniques
Cost $300
Payment due by 12th march. Payment secures place.

Time: 10am- 4.30pm

Description
In this workshop participants will observe and undertake the manufacture to Khmer style filigree works and enjoy direct contact with Puan who is a renowned master of the technique and custodian of culturally significant knowledge that works produced using this technique represent. Thai translators will be on hand to facilitate this unique cultural experience. Materials and tools will be available and are inclusive within the course fee. Refreshments and BBQ lunch will be provided.

Description.
In this workshop participants will have access to demonstrations of enameling techniques and the opportunity to complete their own samples. Taweesak is a highly regarded figure in the Thailand’s burgeoning contemporary jewellery scene and an experienced lecturer. Materials and tools will be available and are inclusive within the course fee. Refreshments and BBQ lunch provided.
Note: These courses require an enrollment of 8 in order to be viable and have a maximum of 12 places. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop with notice no less than 2 full working days prior to the event. Additionally, we reserve the right to cap enrollments at 12.
