Study with us
Our students have opportunities to undertake studio-based learning across the disciplines of Ceramics, Design, Glass, Painting, Photography and Media Arts, Printmedia & Drawing, Sculpture & Spatial Practice and Textiles, a disciplinary range that is unparalleled among our peer group. Our Centre for Art History and Art Theory (CAHAT) offers courses that aim to develop historical awareness of art and design practice as well as critical thinking and curatorship skills. CAHAT also offers opportunities for progressive learning and internships within leading national institutions in the gallery and museum sector. Students appreciate our high staff-to-student ratio, so you will get to know your lecturers and they will get to know you too.
Our renowned International Exchange Program provides students with the opportunity to study overseas as part of their degree in acclaimed partner institutions in Asia, Europe, the UK, and North America. The Environment Studio provides visual art engagement opportunities and offers supervised camping-based field trips that provide primary research opportunities to inform the production of artwork. Representatives and artists from local First Nations communities contribute to this course to enhance student understanding of cultural relationships with Country and the ongoing impacts of colonisation.
Our focus on tertiary excellence ensures our graduates are in demand universally and are well-prepared to address complex contemporary challenges, whilst earning above the Australian average. *
