Research intro text
Our research is made in studios and archives, in galleries and laboratories, on country and on screen. The School's staff are practising artists, designers and historians whose work is exhibited, published and collected internationally, and whose ideas shape how we understand material , image, environment and culture. We work alongside Australia's national collecting institutions, with partners across every continent, and with colleagues throughout the University - from climate science to computing, history to medicine - because the most interesting questions don't respect disciplinary borders. Our Higher Degree by Research candidates join this community of practising scholars, working alongside accomplished researchers to shape the next generation of creative inquiry.
