Congratulations to Dr Elly Kent, Visiting Fellow in the ANU Centre for Art History & Art Theory, who launched the product of an amazing project funded by the Australia-Indonesia Institute this week. The project allowed Dr Kent to work with Indonesia's largest publisher, Gramedia Book to produce an Indonesian translation of the fabulous children's book "All of Us" (or "Kita Semua").
The book features the always lyrical writing of Jackie French, a comprehensive and compassionate history of Southeast Asia by Prof. Virginia Hooker and divine illustrations by Mark Wilson, and was officially launched on Saturday by Australia's Ambassador to Indonesia, Penny Williams.
The following people and organisations were involved in the project, Dr Elly Kent, Visiting Fellow, School of Art and Design, Australia-Indonesia Institute; HarperCollins Australia; Gramedia Books; Emeritus Professor Virginia Hooker, College of Asia Pacific; Jackie French OAM; Mark Wilson; Karina Roosvita.
