About the Exhibition
A Paper Inheritance: Exploring the Lineages of the Printmedia and Drawing Workshop explores a collection of works that have had a great impact on the history of the discipline within Canberra. A selection of works has been brought together from the Printmedia and Drawing Workshop to represent the lineage of the ANU School of Art and Design. A Paper Inheritance is a unique opportunity to see a range of works created by established artists within the Australian National University.
This exhibition is organised by final year Art History & Curatorship students as part of the course Curatorial Practice. The students have worked under the guidance of lecturer, Dr Kate Warren (Centre for Art History and Art Theory).
Figures of Influence: Printmaking in Conversation Panel
A discussion between figures of influence in the ANU School of Art and Design Printmaking Community, the panel will explore the legacy of the Printmedia and Drawing workshop at ANU, and its historical and continuing influence in Canberra and beyond. Taking place in connection to the opening of A Paper Inheritance, the panel discussion will engage Alison Adler, John Pratt, Dianne Fogwell, Rebecca Mayo and others in a conversation about their art practices and their unique perspectives on the evolution of the ANU School of Art and Design.
