Third year student and video, sound and internet artist Danny Wild recently spent a week as an Artist in Residence at Monaro High School, Cooma.
The residency was undertaken as part of Danny's third year studies in Professional Practices at the School of Art and is an activity offered to regional schools as part of the ANU Regional Partnerships Program.
Typically artists from the ANU make work and develop a program with the visual arts teachers in the partner secondary schools.
Danny focused on exposing students to the diversity of video and photogrpahic art practice and introduced them to his own work and processes with a view to broadening their understanding of what video and art making can be.
The program aims to engage with students in secondary schools throughout the region and raise awareness about university study.
