Marzena Wasikowska shortlisted for National Photographic Portrait Prize

Photography and Media Arts PhD candidate Marzena Wasikowska has been shortlisted for the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2015. The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
Wasikowska was one of only 44 finalists selected form 2,500 entries, which is the highest amount of entries the prize as received. The photographs will be displayed in the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2015 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery from 21 March until 8 June 2015. The exhibition finalists' photographs will be shown on our website from 20 March where audiences will have the opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award.
The winner of the $25,000 National Photographic Portrait Prize 2015 will be announced at the launch of the exhibition on 20 March.
