10 Artists, 10 Decades, 100 Years of Glass
Ten Squared is the Canberra Glassworks latest exhibition of new artworks inspired by glass. The exhibition brings together ten glass artists and reflects on glass as a material itself, its language and history over the past 100 years, the same 100 years currently being celebrated as part of Canberra's centenary.
Of the ten artists, an overwhelming eight of them are related to the ANU School of Art Glass Workshop. It includes alumni Ruth Oliphant, Alexandra Chambers, Brenden Scott French, Trish Roan, Tom Rowney, Lee Mathers, Blanche Tilden and current workshop head Richard Whiteley.
The exhibition runs from 27 March to 9 May and includes a gallery floor talk on Saturday 13 April.
