Painting
Julie Brooke is a lecturer at the School of Art & Design and an ANU University House Early Career Academic Fellow. She completed a BVA (Hons, with University Medal) at the ANU in 2008, and a practice-led visual arts PhD in 2013, for which she was awarded an ANU J. G. Crawford Award. She was a Vice-Chancellor’s Artist in Residence in the ANU Department of Applied Mathematics in 2014. An exhibiting painter and former biomedical scientist, she focuses on interdisciplinary practice in visual art, biological science and mathematics.
